We are the champions, my friend

I'm just saying...

Nashville, Tennessee tops “50 Smart Places to Live,” a ranking of American cities released yesterday by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine and published in the June 2006 issue.

To make the list, a city had to score well in a variety of areas, including housing prices, cost of living, education, health care, and the local arts scene. Twang Town topped the list due to the really affordable housing and what they called "moderate" weather. Apparently, the editors did not visit during July.

Here are the losers.

#2 Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN
#3 Albuquerque, N.M.
#4 Atlanta, GA
#5 Austin, TX
#6 Kansas City, MO
#7 Asheville, N.C.
#8 Ithaca, N.Y.
#9 Pittsburgh, PA
#10 Iowa City, IA

  2. All y'all in the state capital should know that Knoxville ranked #5 in Forbes Magazine's list of the best places for business and career. And Money magazine puts Knoxville on their list of 7 summer destinations that won't break the bank. So when are you coming to East Tennessee?
