Alternate Reality

I think someone spiked my macaroni last night.

That, or reality TV went to a decidedly weird place.

First, American Idol: It's official. Paula Abdul has lost her marbles. When asked to comment quickly on the first song of each of the five remaining contestants, she listened to Randy and then proceeded to comment on BOTH songs of one contestant, even though none of the contestants HAD SUNG TWO SONGS YET!

Hello?

I was so embarrassed for her I had to get up and leave the room. And calling one of the contestants by another one's name probably wasn't her best moment either.

Then there was Dancing With The Stars:

I didn't think anything could be stranger than Paula.

I was wrong.
