Emotions are on high alert during the holidays.

Most of us have something we are feeling stressed about, or someone we are missing. But thinking about the children who have parents serving in our armed forces puts it all in perspective for me. As adults, we understand that while we cannot change the direction of the wind, we can adjust our sails. But what of the little ones? How can they possibly be expected to understand why Daddy or Mommy is halfway around the world on Christmas day... even though having them home was the only thing they asked Santa Claus for?

Also, In keeping with the spirit of the season, I wanted to pass this along. Whether you know this family or not, you may be able to help... This was passed along to me by someone who asked me to spread the word.
