Meanwhile, I am loving this! www.brilliantbutcancelled.com.
The site is running a sweepstakes for fans to predict which of the 24 new series being introduced by the broadcast networks this fall will be the first cancelled.

The "Fall Season Death Watch 2006" game actually regenerates each week for nine weeks. Participants win prizes like video ipods.
The Web site is an outgrowth of the Bravo program, "Brilliant But Cancelled," which brings back to life good or groundbreaking television shows that didn't last long.
As people place their bets in the game, the odds of a show being the first to go are adjusted accordingly.
Personally, I've got to go with "Til Death" with Brad Garrett. What drek!

What was the disasterous Heather Graham series from last season?
"Emily's Reasons Why Not" on ABC.
I don't know. They've done a ton of promotions for that show with Brad Garrett... and, I mean, look how long "Joey" was able to hang on after the cancellation of friends. I doubt that will be the first to go.
ReplyDeleteI'm still undecided about what I think will be the first, though.
Apparently you missed Men in Trees . . .
ReplyDeleteLike Lightning Bug, I also enjoyed Miller's show, but I knew it wouldn't last. I think he got less funny when he got more political.
ReplyDelete"Til Death" is probably one of those shows where the promos are much better than the actual show.
